This policy applies to all registered users («you», «Consumer») of the Platform who wish to close their CreditBar account https://creditbar.co.za.

There are two distinct concepts addressed in this policy:

  • Platform Account Cancellation: The closure of your digital profile and access to the Platform; and
  • Credit Agreement Termination: The settlement and legal discharge of any outstanding loan obligation, which is governed by your Credit Agreement, is a separate process from Platform account cancellation.

IMPORTANT:

You may NOT cancel your Platform Account while you have an active Loan with CreditBar. All outstanding obligations must first be settled in accordance with the Credit Agreement.

Cancellation Request Process:

  • Submit a written cancellation request via your account platform, registered email, or by contacting support contact@creditbar.co.za
  • CreditBar will verify your identity using your personal details.
  • CreditBar will review your account to ensure there are no active agreements or pending issues.
  • If all requirements are met, CreditBar will cancel your account, confirm via email, and disable your login access.

Please note that upon cancellation of your account:

1. You will be logged out of the Platform.

2. Your access and credentials will be permanently disabled, and you will no longer be able to apply for loans or view your account information.

3. Your personal data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the Platform https://creditbar.co.za

4. You may not be eligible to apply for a loan from CreditBar again.
